Did you ever wonder how the Olympic weightlifters can make such a difficult lift look so easy...repetition, repetition, repetition.  The snatch is the most technically difficult lift in the world and the clean & jerk is known as "The Mother of all Lifts" for a reason.  It takes about 5000 reps to become proficient and that isn't using PVC as some cross training certifications try to make you think.  This session will explore the theoretical and practical aspects of Olympic weightlifting.

As group athletic trainers we know how difficult it is to get our clients to stretch. We also know how it is the most undervalued component of conditioning and is often overlooked in our clients’ fitness regimen. In this workshop we will explore limbering patterns borrowed from Yoga, Pilates and Athletics. This practical workshop was formulated to give instructors ideas and hands on stretching techniques. You will also learn the importance of flexibility and how it relates to efficient body movement, posture and having a healthy pain-free back. Also discuss the correct timing and use for dynamic warming, static stretching and partner stretching techniques.
